Shifting Tides, a film by Angela McNerney
If you want humanity to change, you don’t start with “convincing” in a purely logical sense — you look to change the emotional stakes, reshape social norms, and redesign the environment so new behavior has a path of least resistance. In the thought-provoking documentary, Shifting Tides, filmmaker Angela McNerney asks us to look at the need to change the way we talk about climate change with the hope that a shift in perception may give way to a more productive and exciting way forward. The words ‘climate change’ have become almost taboo in today’s discourse - whether it’s received as an overwhelming topic or a misunderstanding as to what it really means, this film reminds us of the preciousness of the Earth and provides the start of a good conversation.
